hanzoooooo there you are !!!! glad your ok i was starting to get worried... thanks for the foodie pics... some of that stuff looks great ...{some}
All is well, @KAS. Just been busy. Mahalo. It was all pretty good. Kalbi (Korean style BBQ short ribs), BBQ chicken, and garlic shrimp on a bed of rice with salad.
When a tai chi student gives you lemons... Was discussing what to make with wife. I suggested sparkling lemonade, lemon ginger honey smoothies, and shrimp scampi.
Lunch in between tai chi classes today was roast pork. I invited this guy onto the tip of my sword and he accepted. My students asked if he would stay on during the sword form. Hoppie did a great job! He stayed on through the changes in blade angle and movement for several minutes. He got off where in thought he might when my sword tip was once again pointing to the ground.
You can imagine it, if it makes you happy. They can wear whatever they want. And because it is Hawaii, they mostly wear shorts and go topless.
After setting aside some lemons for @Bear, I used two for dinner tonight... Paella. Was bummed the market didn't have fresh clams. But it had shrimp, crab, chicken and sausage with a generous amount of saffron. Bubbling in the pan. From my bowl to my tummy.
Last night, I had sushi, scallops wrapped in bacon, Peking duck and other goodies along with cocktails. This was my lousy view.
Made a crab and mushroom omelette today with lots of garlic. And made the burnt cheese garnish kinda shaped like a crab shell. Was some ono! Washed down with some French pressed coffee.
Talk about a happy ending. The homemade lemon ice cream (with local bee pollen) was a great way to clear the palette after the omelette.
Took the family for sushi. I walked a couple of miles to eat and met the family there. Oldest monkey ate chili cheese fries. What da.... But we ate well. Here's some of what we had. Wife and I each had a giant mound of ikura. Blurry monkey ate all the shrimp heads. Thank you to sushi chefs, Jon and Ming, for always taking good care of us.
Hanzo, I needed to stop by to wish you a happy holiday. It's been a while, but holidays and particularly Christmas make me think of friends and you're in that list. Hope you and your family are doing well and enjoy great blessings!
Mahalo @Elessar. Merry Christmas and an awesome holiday to you and your family as well. Happy Holidays to all! Now if I can only get started on my shopping list... [emoji33]
Wifee made my pre-tai chi meal. Breakfast was shrimp and mushroom omelette. Followed by pan de coco and my French pressed Kauai coffee that she blended with coconut oil and Italian butter. Supposed to have long lasting good effects of caffeine without the bad. So the coffee effects lasts all day with no caffeine jitters. Maybe not for purists, but it tastes pretty good. The only time I really got jitters was a very busy day where I had a dozen meetings back to back with no time to eat. If I recall, I had about a dozen cups of coffee and two or three cans of Mountain Dew. Before my day was done, I definitely felt it. My hands were even shaking a bit. Swore not to overdo it like that again. Things you learn when you are young and stupid. And pears with monkey fingers photobomb.
