Going Gear has been featuring pictures of the pocket dumps of their staff. So I thought I would do mine and invite you to as well. Here's what I had with me today. Normally, I also carry a Frost River Grand Marais mail bag. But not today.

First of all, today, I gave my whistle to a friend who is going to be traveling.

In my pockets today... Moleskine/Evernote notebook, piece of thin paracord, Kleenex, watch, metal pen, hideaway knife, folding reading glasses in case, wallet and a few dollars. Also the bandana everything is on and the iPhone I took the picture with.

The bushcrafty items in my wallet. Old card wrapped with spiderwire, brass Sparklite, tinder tube, can opener and a small piece of sandpaper. Not shown and vastly underrated in my opinion, is a phone card. Started carrying one decades ago when I had to frequently travel and the habit stuck. I rarely use it. But if it helps you once, it is golden since it is so small. Also had two band aids for when my monkeys get little owies.

Also have gear in my truck, so am comfortable venturing forth on a whim. Even if it's with just what I have on me. I also always have a water bottle with me.

So what's in YOUR wallet? And pockets? Heck, even your bag if you carry one. And care to post your excursions with just pocket stuff?

My @goinggear pocket dump faux pas... It was clipped so comfortably to my pocket, I forgot to take it out for the picture. I rarely carry the hideaway, but I always have my Swiss Army knife and flashlight. Today, like most days, it was the Victorinox Alox farmer and old faithful Fenix L0D with some string whipped around it. The wrap softens the bite for the rare times I hold it in my mouth. And you can never have too much string. And those dangler clips are great. Keeps stuff fairly secured and not jumbled in the bottle of your pocket.

I got NOTHING in my Pockets right now, as I am in my office, working at the computer... But when I leave the Cabin, My Keys, and Comm Gear are onboard, and if I am suspecting Any Encounters with UnKnown Folks, the HiPower is in a it's shoulder rig, and the Winchester 1300 Stainless is in the Truck. Since that rarely happens, this far out, they usually live at their specified locations inside the cabin. (The Shotty above the Front Door on Pegs, and the HiPower in it's shoulder rig on a Hook in the Office)

Thanks Brokor, I'm in the middle of closing some campgrounds down for the winter but I will give it a try in the future. Heck, it can't be that hard, it only took me 10 years to figure out how to join some forums:)
