Remember how the dot gov coerced companies like Google and Yahoo to let the NSA spy on your e-mail? (Seems that most have forgotten about it because the MSM has forgotten). It seems that something similar is taking place now. Instead of getting a warrant to search your credit card charges, they're just going to circumvent the Constitution by coercing the retailers to hand over the purchases, mine that data, then do a couple of no-knock, shoot your dog, kick your wife, smack your kid raids to see if their hunches were correct. PrePaid Debit Card will show the same Data on each purchase as a Credit Card, at the Retail Level.... So that isn't going to save you..... Cash is KING, if you are going in for these things.....

Not necessarily. You can go to target, buy a pre paid Visa/MC/Amex with cash, open that sucker up, walk across the parking lot to gander mt and use it immediately. The only thing that binds it to you is a surveillance video. You don't have to register the gift cards if you have no intention of using a pin... I've done it.
However, if you use the PrePaid Card, it has numbers on it, and those numbers are entered into the Transaction Machine, so they can deduct the amount from the Balance of the CARD, then the Purchase is LOGGED, into the Sales Database, along with the Items that were purchased. It may NOT ident YOU, specifically, but the Sale is still tracked, and logged. With cash, there is No such Record, logged by a Third Party.
Ok all together now... CASH IS KING ! Also I no longer shop at one LGS because they started tracking every purchase, even when using cash. If they ask me for a name I give then the name on the name tag I am looking at.

I look mostly to the flea market/swap meets for a lot of prep stuff. I found a deal on original Ball Jar regular mouth lids @ $60.00 a full case. A lot of stock and trade can be had for a fraction of it's price brand new. Picked up a 55 gallon drum pump for $15.00.
