Just as I suspected......1911 owners can't tell whether they are coming or going..... ahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
OH yeah! give me 100 year old tech............................................ I'll keep my G19 thank-you very much. BTW, I have more than twice the ammo than you old guys do. Or, I have my G19 with me because you left your 911(hmmm, I think that fits) in the truck. BWaaaaaaaah!
I got 6 shots and figure if the BGs are armed I aint likely to get more than 6 before they can get me anyhow so not to worried about how much ammo the gun holds.
I guess we should know better with all of the IPSC shooters out there winning with their custom Glocks. Or, all of the Marines that traded in their 80 year old 1911 .45's for Beretta M-9's 9mm, oh wait it's the other way around isn't it. In the words of DeNiro in Ronin "It's served my country well."
Just remember two to the chest and one to the head makes any man forget his evil intentions. Whether from a glock or 1911. Take care Be safe Poacher.
Speaking from someone who has Shoot someone with a 9MM I went back to a 1911 and there 45acp right after that it doesn't matter how many you place in the maggot its the Size that matters. Like Poacher say 2 in the chest and 1 in the head makes Johnny and very dead young boy. and for those that want to know I fired 32 rds of 9mm in the Chest and he was still able to shoot back. it was only a Head shot that took him out. Now I carry a Glock 23 13rds in mag and 1 in the pipe and yes I have been in a Officers involved shooting with it. I will tell more when the case is over . Doc
Amazing. I would like to hear more about the case you can talk about. If you don't mind, give us all the details, what instigated it, what the adrenaline dump was like, and how someone could still return fire after having that amount of lead in him (drugs?).
I had the wife of a friend, who passed away, give me his 1911. Wouldn't even shoot it for a long time out of respect. Then one day I decided he'd want me to take it out and enjoy it. So I did. But, I cleaned it and put it back in the safe. Just didn't feel right shooting his gun when he couldn't be there. I took the advise of a CLEO friend and went out and got me a G23. One in the pipe 13 in the mag, good feel to it too. I learned handguns on the 1911 in the service, nothing wrong with the .45 ACP, just like the way the Glock feels better.
Take that 1911 out and shoot it. Whomever I leave my firearms too better shoot them, or I will haunt them day and night.
First rule of a gun fight: Have a gun! Second rule: refer to rule one! Third rule: Cheat Fourth rule; Train train train!!!! Fifth rule: Be the one who shoots first, with the biggest bullet you can handle as many times you can until the DB drops from blood loss or you run out of ammo! Sixth rule: Don't be a victim! Trap: that's a 1911 I'd never sell or give away. I'd be bruied with it to keep the gov't from getting it or because I'd be afraid that my relatives would either sell it or not appreciate it the way you do!
