I have heard several commentators make the statement that WW3 is already going on, and like WW2 we just refuse to acknowledge it. The stakes are a lot higher now! Could we really stop Iran, Russia and China in a war, trying to fight all of them at the same time, without Nuclear weapons being brought into the battle field? All 3 of these countries have shown a willingness to massacre millions of their own people in peacetime, to think they would be unwilling to do it in wartime is naive! These same countries have recently been holding summits and making moves to crash the US Dollar, and, I don't know if anyone has noticed, but their are more Illegal Chinese in America than there are Mexicans, we just like their Buffet's so much, no one seems to care! Our Canadian Border is an Infestation point for Chinese Invasion as well! Our Southern Border is inundated with the Russian Mafia, linked to the Drug Cartels! There are 6 million Muslims in the US Legally, and only God knows how many Illegally! I really believe the the Administration in the White House now, has craftily orchestrated this from the Start! We just learned of a Chinese jet coming very close to one of our Naval planes. The Chinese craft was within 30 feet of ours. US officials are not liking this one bit but will anything be done? @Gopherman is correct. Russia and China have been meeting and seem to be planning to hurt the value of the dollar. What I question is why does China want to destroy the dollar? If they kill the dollar, they won't get paid back. Or would they want land? Minerals? Or would it not matter to them? I try to think, how do they come out ahead in the end game by destroying the dollar.
Moto, wars seldom make economic sense. Wars are not cheap, so the payoff would have to be huge to be worth the initial investment.
Sometimes I wonder if money is really money. What really is money? It has moved so far from what it originally was. Money is a scrap of paper that we hold trust in. It is a belief but when you really think hard about it, it is almost a fairy tale. Does that make sense?
Money is barter, with an agreeded upon value of exchange. You have peaches but need beans. The bean man needs sugar. The sugar man need beef. You can't give them what they want or need, but you can each exchange for a token, and trade that token for what you do need. That token is money.
There is a pretty good amount of evidence mounting that US gold reserves have been plundered! Countries that have their gold stored here are being told they cannot even see there gold for months, because the vault was not designed for visitors and there is not enough room for anyone to inspect it. WHAT?!!!!! German Parliament Denied Access to Inspect German Gold Reserves Due to 'Lack of Visiting Rooms' | SilverDoctors.com Germany is also not the only country denied access!
I was in the store the other day and watched the guy in front of me hand the woman a $20 dollar bill and that very thought occurred to me as well! The one positive thing about a war with China is we could wipe out all the debt we owe them!
My uneducated guess is that China already knows that the dollar is about done. She doesn't think she is going to recoup the loss and wants the yuan to become more of a world standard. Big payoff if that happens. Russia doesn't need us nearly as much as we are being told. Look at her history. She's tired of being boxed in as both a trade partner and political power. We fall she gains.
I have read that the US does not give Iran foreign aid. But we give others countries lots of money. If our dollar is done, IMO these countries that depend on our aid will turn to those that have money. What will the financially surviving countries require from the aid seeking countries in return for aid?
I am very happy to see that some of the new Threads are pulling different Monkey's into the conversation! it shows engagement by more than the handful of us that are very vocal. With close to 11,000 Monkeys one would think that there would be a lot more weighing in on these hot button issue's.
I suspect that the largest share of monkeys are ill inclined to get into political debates and expose's for (perhaps) a couple reasons, not the least of which is OPSEC; they don't wish to draw all that much attention. (There are innumerable places on the web where all those discussions can and do happen.) It is entirely one thing to prepare, and another to attract attention from TPTB and to get on a list (other than the list of those who are thinking of ways to make it thru) thereby. So far as the 11K members, you've no doubt noticed that there just are not all that many actives. The main objective of SM is not at all political, it's aimed more toward what one needs to do to be ready for when the political aspects of life go awry. That said, hammer on, it hurts nothing to occasionally point up some pitfalls for sheep to think about, if they bother to read.
