We had a pretty epic outing with massive consumption of sushi and other Japanese food. Here's just what I had, and I wasn't the biggest eater. But we were all pretty well stuffed. And I was soooo full, my food induced brain fog made me forget the mochi balls with azuki beans and fruit dessert.
What a feast! Close, for us, is a place to eat. Much of the same food as above as well as the usual US fare. The sushi bar is great. The Chef is from Taiwan with assistants from Japan I'll snap a few pictures next time we go.
Next morning, I was still not hungry. But my monkeys were hungry so I made mushroom omelettes with cheese. Forgot to take pictures. And then I cut the most ripe of the green mangos we were given. Ever since I was a kid, green mangos mean if you aren't going to wait for them to ripen, you eat it with shoyu and fresh ground black pepper. Next green mango, I will try with li hing powder.
Monkeys' lunch was salami, cheese and bannock. It turned out kinda heart shaped as I was flattening it down.
My humble lunch yesterday from the Chinese place at the mall Not as gourmet as @Hanzo but yummy all the same... Noodles, roast pork and szchechuan eggplant... and a spam musubi :0) Not exactly Paleo like @melbo but great for a hungry Bear....
Our simple one this time. Dinner Special at a little hole in the wall. BBQ beef, chicken & short rib. Egg battered beef. Mandoo (fried dumpling). Rice and eight dishes of assorted veggies. Very full. Can't beat the price too. $12 including hot tea.
