Yeah, while preparing for possible negatives, I always look at the positives. So with two hurricanes/tropical storms bearing down on us back to back, I have been thinking that long term, this is great for recharging our aquifers. And short term, I am enjoying the cool breeze and the break from our hot, muggy weather. Also, when life gives you storms, you make chocolate blended iced coffee. And if I put my empty cup outside, I get fresh rain water. Thanks again to everyone for their good thoughts and well wishes. We are doing fine. My last contact with @Bear a couple hours ago, he's fine too and sounding very optimistic about things. I'm hoping to get some lightning pictures in the evening. And was thinking of playing outside too. We'll see how long before we get stir crazy inside. I am glad my wife's 22 mile trail race for tomorrow is cancelled. I would have pulled her out myself if it wasn't. But gotta admit, the waterfalls should be spectacular. And I'm hoping my Dad's Night Out tomorrow won't have to be cancelled. Who knows? But I look forward to the sushi gorging while looking at the ocean.
Hang tough, you Hawaiian Monkeys. After all, you are Survivors. The rest of us will be thinking or praying kind thoughts for your ordeal.
The news tonight carried some vids of waterfalls, before and during. Spectacular is putting it mildly. 14 inches of rain so far, they say. Dat be WET, it do.
Sounds like things are going well so far. You (@Hanzo) and @Bear are in my thoughts and prayers that everything stays on an even keel.
Hanzo if u dont put some pictures up of that hurricane im gonna be pissed... also let me know if u see a bunch of boats barges or ships in places thet dont belong .... Im only 3 hours from ya right now ...
Alright @KAS. Bad weather does NOT mean no good eats. My featured meal today was lunch. Breakfast was oatmeal and quinoa with cinnamon, coconut oil, bananas, honey and sunflower seeds. Dinner was a salad. So here's lunch... Spicy chicken karaage and tempura donburi with miso soup and green tea.
