Backyard sunset Tonight's greens. I usually don't use dressing. But tonight, I tried sea asparagus dressing. A first for me. Not bad. Very light. I figured it would go ok since I had two big handfuls in my salad.
No tai chi today. Got a killer leg workout in yesterday. Three and a half hours of tai chi with low stances to work it. But a man's gotta eat! After my meeting, I took the family out to eat. Went on a strawberry guava picking hike this afternoon with the monkeys and a few friends. Will post that separately.
Do yall ever eat at home ? I have new love for raw tuna .. it is much better wen it is fresh some were ... {not in a little store in a strip mall in opussum crothch Lousiana}...
Eat at home a lot. Some of the pictures are home cooked meals. Usually in between teaching my classes, I am still on the road. And a man's still gotta eat! With your new love, try the toro (fatty belly part). Yum!
More Omakase, baby!! Just enough for a most delicious snack. Finished with a last order of toro. Which was followed by miso soup, then green tea ice cream.
Today's lunch with monkeys. The Pete's burger was REALLY good. @Bear would like it, if you don't mind hauling yourself that far. Monkeys each had two meals. Sheesh. They are growing and/or are daddy's monkeys. My two items.
You can tell by now, I like sushi. Moon was out early. Today was a hot and beautiful day. Ford Island in Pearl Harbor And finally, always a good idea to check your back trail AND good to look up.
Rainbow showers always seem to be around taiji & qigong. Some of the class had arranged a potluck that I wasn't told about, so I didn't bring anything but my appetite. They just had me come eat, so eat I did!
The best ramen! Took a slow motion video of some students. They always go too fast. Will try and post later.
Hot sweaty tai chi today. Started at 9ish and finished at 3ish. Will probably keep on sweating until I take a cold shower before going to bed. On my lunch break. Kalbi...GONE! Veggies...GONE! As brother @Bear drilled into me, there is always room for dessert. In this case, passion fruit queso. After I was done, my wife had an appointment, so...
But alas, no steak for me today. Monkey heard me mention a new Hawaiian food restaurant and said, "LET'S GO!!" So we did. Then later in the afternoon, I mentioned I wanted to go and get some refreshing mint water and do some of my reading in air conditioning. (It's 8pm and I am sweating as I type this) She asked me where and I told her the place with all the macaroons. "I'm coming!" So she had apple juice and a chocolate ooze cake... And a bunch of my mint water. But for you real foodies... Dinner? DINNER! Yum!
