Please welcome @sec_monkey as the newest addition to the Survival Monkey staff. Go easy on him as he picks up the twists and turns of how the forum works. His area of expertise will stand the Monkey in good stead for the foreseeable future. sec_monkey was formerly known as seth_test and has actually been a part of our forum for many years, keeping the server running and hardening us against attacks and maintaining other security measures. We're glad to have him as a more participating member of SM. [USERGROUP=4]@Moderators[/USERGROUP] [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP]
Welcome, @sec_monkey, now we need @melbo to add your avatar to the Staff list on the members header, that will complete things needed -- (I'd do it, but no clue how --)
@Brokor has a twin (avatar) brother. Welcome, and thanks @Sec for the sterling work you are doing for this tribe of misfits and reprobates. I for one, (though many others also), welcome your contributions as a member of the tribe...we band of (mostly happy) simians.
I feel like I should say welcome about to @sec_monkey under your new hat. Thanks for all you do! BTW- do we put in an order @Brokor for what we want our monkey doing? He had done a really great job with the new monkey avatars.
Once I get settled, I plan to get a little more professional with the logo and help the Monkey be more scalable for future adaptation. This will take time, but I believe I can do it...eventually. We have quite a few great people here, some contribute in their own way, and just by being a wealth of information alone helps newer folks, as some around here are far more qualified than I will ever be in certain areas. We also have very generous Monkey's who give far more to people than can normally be expected, and they are treasured and well respected, too. I recall asking Melbo and the others not to "officially" make me a moderator or anything else, mostly because I do add to the forum in ways which would typically be a role for a normal member, that being assertive political thoughts and covering the corruption in our government. Although, I have settled down a bit over the years, I still tend to use a sledge hammer on the Matrix from time to time. I don't spend time on any other forums these days. I don't need to. This is home.
