I've known girls who duct taped around their arms or upper thighs while working out to sweat them down. Maybe he was just trying a full body wrap?
If my clothes fit right or not will be the least of my worries during times like that. Just having clothes would be a plus.
We have plenty of fabric and needles/thread to make our own clothes if need be. Footwear would be the primary concern for me after SHTF.
I got this fantastic fabric I have been learning to sew with. It's treated canvas used for outdoor lawn furniture. Tough as nails.
Just a NOTE here: If you get significant Winds at your AoO... then you need to consider if such an Awning Design will become a "wing" during strong winds..... Otherwise you may find your Awning a few miles away, after a good blow..... I can supply Pictures of such an Issue......
Amazon.com: Canvas Fabric Waterproof Outdoor Fabric by the yard Foilage 60" Wide I checked locally, and found something similar to this. The link to this canvas at Amazon is a little more costly, but it is very good fabric. At about $5 per yard (at 60 in. wide) it isn't too bad.
