Supremes shoot down state’s fight for gun rights “The natives are beyond restless. They are at the stage of collecting torches and pitchforks and preparing to head for the castle gates en masse,”
It will take only ONE instance of Confiscation by FORCE, in CT, to kick this off, and Good Folks on both sides are going to DIE.... To bad it will NOT be the Politicos who passed this Unconstitutional Statute. They may get theirs, eventually, but not until many others, have Watered the Ground, with their BLOOD. It is all so Senseless....
@Falcon15 Y'all need a back hoe and a couple of bags of quick lime. Ok and maybe a match for the petition.
“First they came …” is a famous statement and provocative poem attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis' rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group. ....................... Edited version: First they came for the "assault weapons" and I did not speak out-- Because I did not have an assault weapon. Then they came for the handguns, and I did not speak out-- Because I did not have a handgun. Then they came for the "hunting rifles" , and I did not speak out-- Because I did not have a hunting rifle. Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.
When we bend to confiscation we bend our knees in submission to slavery. As was said once (I can't remember who said it and am too lazy tonight to look it up) I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
That is a stunning picture. It speaks to the abject horror that a despot can inflict upon his fellow citizens for power.
I said the oath over and over "I will defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I will obey the orders of those appointed over me." But that second line comes with the stipulation that those appointed over me are not attacking the Constitution.
