    I'm sorry...

Didn't know whether to post this here...

    News?

    Humor?

On September 17, 2003 Dick & Annette Wanker celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on the Umpqua River with guide Todd Hanna, [the Oregon Angler ]. Dick caught a 42 pound chinook salmon. In March, 1961 Annette caught a 27 pound chinook salmon on their first date on the Willamette River in Oregon City, Oregon

Could be the guy who owns Wanker's Corner? No joke (dare I admit I've been there?).

A friend invited me, saying "You'll love it, it's great fun, there's shells on the floor." so I'm thinking, Nautical theme, inlaid shells in the flooring (had this whole picture in my mind).
Walk in; "crunch" under my feet:eek:... peanut shells. Fun place.

So...Power's been out for hours ..which meant phone was dead...and I of course, picked up the wrong cell charger when I left Atlanta..

Soooo...picked up a book I've been wanting to read...
    Fired up the grill....

    Cooked out for myself....

and had an all in all enjoyable afternoon...

The wind was blowing so hard, no need for AC....

Interesting...total silence..and feeling so very comfortable....

    I liked it...

Was watching some mindless TV last night... and caught a Law and Order rerun..... In the episode... a guy has a midlife crisis..... The shrink called it the "Jimmy Buffett Syndrome".... Escape-ism.... Thought it was a little extreme...considering the plot ..but hey...proves we're in a lot of places...:D

then I wished the power was back off....

The 2006 hurricane season is all of 13 days old today.

''Good God, who would have thunk it,'' Gov. Jeb Bush said about the early-season storm as he declared another hurricane state of emergency.

Picked up one of my books today and read this ...Forgot how much this book makes me laugh..

Boundary, n. In political geography, an imaginary line
between two nations, separating the imaginary rights of
one from the imaginary rights of another.

Nevermind him C! He's just jealous because his voices aren't talking to him anymore.:p

No party. Took him to a celebration lunch (straight A's!). Plus - he gets bragging rights; the other 2 have school 'til the 21st (hee hee hee) so his "summer hours" have already started.

CC - it says you're here (always) when you're not here. Are you here when you're there?;)

This one was only about 3 feet long...glad my cat didn't see him first...that would have been a mess....

I keep a shovel and a hatchet back there now....

that's a common garter snake, very harmless and very beneficial in controling nasty little things like mice, roaches, and yucky other bugs. Sure wouldn't kill one of those, not very good to eat either.

That's the closest picture I could find on the net...Do they have yellow stripes, not white?

Because it had yellow...And I'm sure it was harmless...but living right next to the largest Aquatic Preserve on the East Coast (less than one city block behind me) I don't take any chances. All kinds of critters back there from gators, to poisonous snakes to poisonous spiders. Used to do volunteer work there.
So when I see a snake here , on my patio?
    I kill it.
