    I don't know that your post is off subject, since it is regarding perception. that that is what the original post was about. hidden techniques hidden factors , and misdirection. its a magic trick, One stone at a time, and our perception of what was done and how. most likely what we see and what we understand is not all of the trick.

    Well, if our lives are scripted, in some "Matrix" style fantasy; my script writer is a twisted SOB, and I'd love to get my hands on him.

    The anonymous writer of the Book of Ecclesiastes was probably the most read, of those to have said it, to answer a rhetorical question. ;)

    Pre-Socratic philosopher, Parmenides, also made a name for himself with that line of thought.

    Choice vs. causality

    There are many myths, superstitions and misconceptions surrounding "reality", and very few out there like to be told they are simply meat puppets. Take the reported Hitler death, for example. All we "know" is what has been reported, with little to no factual evidence, and no body. Naturally, there will be questions introduced to try and solve this mystery, or they are brought forward to create a mystery where none exists at all. Perhaps this is the enigma found with the unknown --a question left unanswered provides a clue to the paradox we see as reality. I do not choose to focus on the tiny portion which is offered, but instead, I step back and try to view a wide-angle of the entire spectacle. While Hitler rose to power, slithering his way to a seat of dictatorial authority and slowly began to devour nations, we had a dictator of our own right here at home. Isn't it strange how so many were blind to see what was right in front of them? Was it really a series of choices which led us to where we are, or could it have all been the result of causality? If we study how the Nazi party rose to power, and compared this with the banking crisis and emergency rule of our own President, we will find the war which was introduced became the catalyst for a new age. We may follow the links and connect tyrants to elected officials, royal family dynasties to capitalist corporations, secret orders to religious cults, and none of it will make much sense until the pieces begin to fit together, showing us a picture of global conquest. The more we try to deny the image we are presented with, the harder it becomes to accept the "reality" we have been spoon fed. Wouldn't it all be fantastic if this was nothing more than the imaginings of disillusioned minds, and there really is nothing significant at all which was derived from the creation of a United Nations, World Bank, bankrupted countries, and a massive corporate cartel profiteering from perpetual war with an enemy entirely contrived by its own hand? I guess it doesn't really matter if Hitler escaped Germany and lived out his remaining days elsewhere. The real mystery is determining how so many could be blind to the inescapable fact that they have become victims to cause and effect, and choice was really only an illusion.

    The Jews might have capped his sorry ass and never said a word. Depending on the international mood at the time, I can see it. Pointing out Americans might have aided his escape would have NEVER been a good idea. If Americans did aid his escape, leaving a void in the report might have brought it to light eventually also. Another NO-NO from the American perspective.

    The nazi bastards hiding him wouldn't have said anything either.

    Hitlers last act was to remain the most sought after Nazi.... masking Borrmann's successful execution of "Operation Eagle's Flight" (Aktion Adlerflug). There is a fascinating book by the late Paul Manning (one of the original Edward J. Murrow "Boys"), where he writes of the plan, it's execution, and provides evidence of it's existence with corroborating FBI and Treasury department documents...

    Hitler died... but the Nazi ideology survived, and more importantly, an immense amount of stolen Euro-treasure that was secreted to South America to fund it.

    The FBI kept an open file on Hitler until the 1960s or 1970s, I guess that they closed the file finally due to the fact that Hitler, if he had indeed escaped, had most likely died of old age. I don't believe that Stalin truly believed that Hitler was dead, he hoped and 'prayed' that he was dead, but the KGB kept looking for years.
