ditch witch I do stupid crap, so you don't have to

In this case imagination is superior to the reality.
Seriously tho, for the ladies living in the hotter parts of the country they can't be beat. All you need is a rectangle of material 44"x66" for most sizes and you have an instant skirt, top or dress that can double as a sheet or shawl or whatever. I have a couple in my BOB.

Oh our Amazon order included 3pounds of Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder. The bulk package was cheaper per container(6 of the 8oz ones) than in town at grocery store.

Ammo man... put away a bunch of ammo and ordered 2 ten packs of Magpul Gen 3 PMAG's. Home Depot had 3/8 rope for good price and grabbed 4- 100 foot coils.

As a side note- how many folks have picked up a .17 HMR, since that is the only ammo that seems to be on the shelf compared to .22?

We have a ton on the shelf everywhere I go... makes me think that it may be prudent to pick up a rifle in that cal, though I prefer not to.

Yesterday we got 12lbs of sugar, 3.64lbs of bacon, at least 2lbs of ground beef, I'm not sure how many pounds of chicken, 2lbs of coconut flour, a pound or two of steel cut oats, 5lbs of roast beef, 2lbs of ham lunch meat, 4lbs of cheese, 2 loaves of bread, and various other edibles.

I think I'll vacuum pack my "contingency ammo" that way it will be ready to go and I won't be tempted to borrow any.

Any thoughts? Like ahold I pack mixed calibers or "hunting pack" and "battle packs"... Hmm too many options.

Sounds like to much work...for little benefit. Just pack it away and don't touch it.... or bury it... that at least makes it at least a job to dig it up and use it. I attempt to buy more than I will use for an excursion... the excess just goes into storage. Kind of like the penny plan... one round at a time per se... ;)

Done that for battle packs, My "No Touch Reserve" is a 50/50 mix of XM855 Penatrator and Raufoss Super Incendiary 1:1 on stripperclips, in four pocket bandoleers and stored 'em in .50 BMG cans. Why ? Because when SHTF anything worth shootin' up is worth burnin' down.
Everything else gots it's own set of cans by caliber and Gr weight. I'm kinda OCD on this. biglaff
