So what did you put away this week?

Pax - Have you added any mods to yours? Am thinking about investing in a few improvements, but wanted to see how she does out of the box first. Tomorrow will be my first time taking her to the range, but it will only be a 25yd indoor range at first. Just want to get the feel of it, before I make any decisions.

 

At one point (actually when I bought it) one had a bipod and tactical light which I took off...seemed silly to me and about doubled the weight. Both do have buffer pads to lighten the recoil. One hint, make sure you have the but tucked in firmly...some folks get a lot of stovepipes if they don't support it well. One of mine is stock except for the pad and the other has had the forearm removed and replaced with a 2" quad rail with a front pistol grip...that's the one that lives in the laptop case in my car.

Also...I did chop the grip on the G17 model (the other one is the G19 model) so that it would take G19 standard mags and put pieces of bike inner tube around the grips on both to make them more comfortable on my delicate little hands

 

Found canned bacon in the supermarket yesterday, never seen it before. Had to buy me 15 cans. I love bacon. I kind of quit buying bulk, I just get whatever cheap cans of any long lasting food I can find and store away.

 

Some canned corn and canned peas.

 

Found a clearance sale on socks. Some would say I went overboard but you can never have too many socks & they never expire.

 

Got another 5gal can o' gas put back. That makes 20 gallons now. Goal is 60 gallons (a 5gal can per month). That's all I can afford the space for under current living conditions. Planning to do some serious work rearranging the garage in a few weeks. I'll be getting rid of some junk I've been hanging on to for too many years. I figure, if I haven't used it in several years, I have better uses for the space it's taking up.

 

And this is the reason we seem to put up a new outbuilding every year (a bit of an exaggeration, but not really much)...over the years, my imagination has gotten more and more active and I see a potential future use for a wider variety of manufactured goods.

I am starting to question where the line is between prepper and hoarder...

 

Did our monthly shopping yesterday. We are going to end up with plenty of noodles. And at least my mother remembered to get chocolate chips.

 

LOL. I've often asked myself the same question. And I simply don't have room to be a hoarder.

 

Simple, a prepped collects with purpose. A hoarded just collects, and can't throw away.

 

Grabbed another 500 rds 9mm to replace the 250 I ran through the new Sub2k. Luckily for me, they didn't have any of the pre-packaged 1k boxes.

 

See what I mean about just plain fun? I swear those guns get more rounds put through them that any others...not even sure what it is that does it.

 

Do not know very many people that shoot the 9 mil stuff up here.

Got my dog a custom vest/pack from forceK9. This thing is amazing. If you have a dog. I highly recommend them. Paul the owner was super cool to work with, made sure that the measurements were right, & the vest/pack arrive to my door in 1 week. My dog is a 35lb beagle/boxer that would not fit in any of the vest/packs out there. The forcek9 vest/pack fits amazing, construction is as good as it gets and oh yea. I have nothing to do with the company. Just a happy customer. I also purchased a pack from Pantac USA. I did not need it but my work will pay me back for it so I thought what the heck.

 

Kroger's is having a wonderful sale. Buy 10 and things are about half price, then add a coupon and things are dirt cheap. So stocking up on everyday items cheaply leaves money for the big things.
