For those who have not yet attempted canning meats, the pork cans beautifuly, holds it's texture and the liquids in the jar make unbelievably good gravy.

Bow hunting is illegal here although there is an ongoing discussion on the matter, but starting to learn a skill that might (probably, for conserving ammo if nothing else) gotta be my best prep this year Got a couple of arrows with it and a 3-pack of broadheads.

Picked up more freeze-dried food, two water bbls., 1,000 .223 55 gr SP bullets, 500 more .308 cases, 1,000 more m and .40 bullets, and 8,000 more primers. I thought I was stocked pretty well on reloading components and then the Navy yard shooting happened. Decided to take advantage of some components just recently becoming available to stack a little deeper.
