Forum software upgrade - please report issues

**** With the switch to https, TT users must delete SM and then re-add SM to the TT application. Sorry for the inconvenience ****


All, On Friday, 8/30/2013, we upgraded the forum software and many of the addon features. This was a fairly major update and many things have changed a bit.

Please report any problems or missing functionality here.

Here's a list of some stuff off the top of my head:

• Responsive style (mobile device view) - FIXED for the main SM default style
• Responsive for Dark style - FIXED - low priority (CHanged style)
• Monkey Style Full - FIXED (for @BTPost) selecting this style renders the full desktop style on iPads
• Tapatalk - REMOVED (unless you TT users can convince me to keep it) TT is BACK. The forum auto renders just fine on phones now. 1.2 - Responsive Design | XenForo Community
• Logout Button missing - BY DESIGN - click your username in the top right corner of a page to find the log out button
• There is a new look to the Reply Editor, it should function better than the old one and hopefully prevent those double post issues. It also now has 'Drop to Upload' which means you can just drag and drop images and/or files (cut and paste too ) to upload images. More here: 1.2 - A New Editor and Much Much More | XenForo Community
• Member Map - REMOVED - wasn't being used and although I added it - I had OPSEC concerns over it.
• Username Colors in Who's Online List - FIXED
• New Usergroup Ribbons - FIXED
• Photo Albums - to be swapped for a superior program - WORKING ON - low priority
• Today's Posts missing - BY DESIGN - Dropped last update. New Posts shows you any new activity - please convince me to code another menu option that shows 'Today's' posts regardless of if there were new replies or not.
• Default Style changed from 'Fixed' to 'Fluid' - BY DESIGN - seems to render better when scaling (responsively) accross multiple size mobile devices. I kinda like the .5" of blue on each side of the forum... Please tell me if you hate it, love it or are indifferent.
• Forum Font - CHANGED - the update reverted my changes from Ubuntu to Times New Roman (default). Let me know what you think. I liked Ubuntu better but am fine leaving it the way it is.

 

Crap.

Oh well. I am hopeful!

 

I like the tapatalk... work for me in the work day when I just glance at updates to responses... but that is how I see new stuff without a full log-on...

Shoutbox background white - FIXED - its low priority as I think only 3 people use that style. It may be replaced with another dark responsive style shortly. IOf this happens, we will keep Dark monkey around for awhile as you transition.

 

You'll need to be more convincing than that...

The problem with TT is that it routes everything through Chinese servers. I can quickly hit 'New Posts' and see exactly what TT gives me but from the real site. A lot of forums have begun dropping TT and I'd like to as well.

 

I am fine either way... just throwing my cheap two cents in.....lol.

 

Seriously, I used to use TT all the time until we implemented this responsive style thing. Could you try 'add to home screen' from your phone to add a button that quickly opens SM?

I can open either way, pretty well as I have the bandwith. Just have to retrain the brain on what I am updating on. I move across several devices everyday and checking on whatever is pinging me. No issue here- great job as always on the update... we will adjust and appreciate the hard work and hours!!!!

 

Forum upgrades are really just an excuse for me to stay up really late and drink too much...

the whole screen page just shrunk by about a third... is that a tweak gone bad....

 

weird, the main page is normal size and this page is a third smaller
