Has Everyone Gone Blind

Personally I like the fact the my department is getting a lot of high end military gear. I have a nice shopping list.

The scarey part is how many people know where this stuff is stored and I already arrested one doper who broke into the storage garage to try and steal his dope before the warrant was served. Two other break ins had happened at other departments storage where the suspects cars were gone thru and whatever had been there was gone

 

Reality is, Its now alarmed but that only works when things are normal.

 

i fix doors and entrance systems of all sorts. We fix the doors for police /fire/ hospital/ city hall, ect. and where people work, the doors and locks are strong, where the equipment is stored is old and worn but still works ok, and the evidence storage bays, have the cheapest , lowest (nearly) quality doors I could buy. they will not use a padlock, but will post a camera (again low quality) to see who broke in. And yet, while I am there, i require a watchdog, to make sure I don't lift anything.
Here's a thought, go with one less armored car, and buy some better doors, and a few dozen padlocks. You might actually be able to convict a few more scumbags.
As I understand it, when one door is breached, everything stored in that locker has a problem with "chain of custody." You can no longer prove something was not taken, added, or altered.

 

I'm not going to get any more paranoid. Yes the government is moving towards tyranny, people are stupid and nobody in power is trying to limit that power. I wonder if Argentina will be an example of how things will go down. Just prepare for the golden horde, then wait and see what happens. Don't be the evil bad guy.

People are just too damn busy with what consumes their lives to pay attention to ANYTHING or ANYBODY

 

I've lost count of how many times I've had to ask my wife & son to get their noses out the damm smart phones this past week.

 

I sure they could tell you, they might even have a counter going with the latest numbers....

 

Smart Phones? Oh, you mean those toys a lot of people play with to avoid real contact with other humans!!!

Smart Phones, yet another Oxymoron, best used by Morons of all ages.

 

I don't know about that, since it duplicates my home computer, it keeps me linked here. Think of it as an early warning device. Not as easy to use as my laptop, but I can read, research, respond, and react much faster with one, than without one. I was working on 9-11 when the towers were hit, I was informed after the fact by a co-worker, that we had been attacked. I thought he was joking.
I like my smart phone, because I never need to feel I am in the dark on information again. I am on it right now.

 

So just exactly how would you have reacted to the instant knowledge of 911,provide by a SP, assuming that the signal was working and the links were correct ?

 

Media for news, weather, research and light entertainment is fine. However when one keeps their nose in front of a screen to live their "life" on-line (be it farcebook or forums) seemingly 24/7 then it's time to take it away and kick them into "the big room".

Correct, I use online"stuff" to relax with and do a certain amount of research and save time and gas in purchase of select items.

During "events" and mass media blitz I find a nice remote place and wait till the "blitz" is less published and along the way I have done a bit of real work and accomplished something.
