Cabela's in Lacey had powder and Winchester primers in today. 2 pounds per customer. Got a couple pounds of Hodgdon 110 for the 357s, some small pistol magnum and small rifle primers.

I stocked up on some canning jars at Bi-Mart. And I'm dehydrating onions/apples this week(not together of course), since the weather is so wet/cold we have the wood stove going so I dehydrate them on that. Not directly on it of course, got an oven rack support by 2 bricks and I put foil or a baking sheet on the rack and then put what's getting dehydrated on that.

60 lbs of rice went into storage yesterday.

Wal-Mart (yeah, I know but they're cheap) had chunky soups for 1.50 each (supermart 2.00), so I snagged 40 cans of the "healthy" version of a couple family favorites for The Closet of Doom (Combination pantry & gun room)

The cashiers always look at me like every time I come in lately.

Got a quart of honey and an organic sweet potato to plant from farmer's market yesterday, and plenty of ground beef and chicken(from the store, my mother spaced and didn't understand that I was telling her to buy our meat from the grass-fed ranch vendor at farmer's market. Oh well. Also stocked up on pet food, but we forgot toilet paper and cat litter. At least I remembered flour.

 

Canned up a gallon of rhubarb/strawberry sauce and need to can up the 40lbs of granny smith apples we picked up for 80 cents a lb. Picked up a case of canned pork and beans on sale. Hubby likes one thrown in his lunch box once in a while for something quick.

finally found some .22's in stock. each box is only 50 rounds, with a 2 box limit, but i was able to put a hundred rounds of .22 stingers (hollow-points) away. Not happy with the price though. 100 round=$15.00
Ammo (limited) is now arriving one day a week, and lasts about half a day.

 

Damn Kellory, that's highway robbery I paid $5.00 for a hundred today at Academy. Plus I got some of those Winchester FBI white box rounds at $21.99 for 50 and they are the PDX1 bullets in brass instead of nickel.

 

It's kind of sad though. He was the only independent hardware with in miles of me. There are big box stores closer but I'd been buying from him to keep it local and mom/pop. I guess greed is a funny thing.
