My Dad has one of the .22/,410 over and under by Savage. it is a much treasured gun, for it is the gun we kids all learned to hunt with. Legal here for anything including deer. But due to a dumb deer hunting law, you may not have any .22lr ammo with you, or even in your truck while hunting deer. A spent casing is enough for trouble.
I am glad to see it reintroduced. .22/.410 was unavailable for a lot of years, though Remington now make one with the .410 above and the rifle below (just looks wrong)

What horrible state is that in? Sounds like I need to make sure to avoid it.

 

Ohio. any other game is fine, (for the most part) but not for deer. I can legally use a 30-06 on rabbits or squirrels, but not deer. shotgun only here.

 

I prefer the Savages, have a 22lr/20 (my first gun) and 223/12. Still want to get a 3030/12 when I can find one for a reasonable price.

I hate buying .410 ammo (though, surprisingly, it is what I see more of than anything else lately)...

 

I might be interested as well, if you need to sell it. I grew up with the .22/.410, a .22lr/.20ga would make a nice companion piece

 

Not much of a chance of selling it since it was my first gun, but I could will it to the highest bidder, LOL.
