Cool, I've seen similar done using strips of newspaper as well. if you wanted a nice circular patter use a paper coffee filter.
if can still find adding machine paper rolls ..... use a glue stick to run a bead down the middle ..... perfect for those tiny carrot seeds ..... I barely cover the paper roll with a little wet sand .......
We use those at work. I think I'll filch one. Do you think that cash register tape would work better?
My neighbor uses paper masking tape. Something to do in the winter darkness while waiting for spring. Makes planting faster as well.
Just the thing for the pesky tiny seeds like for carrots, radish, and so on. Roll the last bit of each tape section onto a stick. You then make the furrow, place tape using the sticks, moosh dirt over the top - done. The seeds are already spaced, so you don't have to go back and thin them out, saving that time. Keep the little buggers properly mulched and get ready for a summer feast....
