This is EXACTLY why, there is a 180 Degree difference between, what a Police Department says, and what a Sheriffs Department says.... Police only report to their local Politicos, who OWN them.... Sheriffs are Elected, by the Residents they Serve, and MUST be Accountable to them, for their Policies, and Actions. Who do you want Protecting You? Police, hired by Politicos, and beholding to only them, or Sheriff's Deputies, Hired by the Sheriff, who gets his Authority directly from YOU, the Voting Resident.....
