So what did you put away this week?

I would have liked to have put away some ammo - really any type but it seems its been on perennial backorder since mid December. Seriously - Midway sold out of LeverEvolution for my 30-30 in less than an hour after I had been on notify me since mid-October ? Sad...sad...sad

Tac - how do you like those things / do they work ? They look great especially in SHTF fishing scenario

 

Prepping is a meal that needs to be eaten in small bites for most folks - others see it, a light goes off and they dive right in ( no need for silverware even LOL )

With regard to Yoyo automatic fishing reels and speedhooks, As I have owned neither before, It is hard to reply yet. I have a friend who has a couple yoyos on his floating dock on the Suwanee river, and he catches more than a few catfish on them. The speedhook video sold me into trying those. As soon as I get these in I will do a product/gear review and post it on Monkey.

 

I went ahead and got a 10LB sack of Brown Rice to use in my Flour/Coffe Grinder.

 

Three hundred pounds of red wheat, which translates to over a year's worth of hydro-fodder for the rabbits, and another fifty pounds of alfalfa pellets to supplement, which will hold them for about three months.

 

Five nextel phone/radios, (two batteries) five chargers and simm cards are in route now, 6 yo-yo reels being reordered (snafu)

 

Not too much this week, except we're starting to order certain things from Amazon now, like our shampoo because store in town that sells it, they don't always have it in stock. So we got a 3 pack(we go through at most 1 bottle a month), price was comparable to the store in town but instead of going an hour to town, we just have to go 5 miles to the post office Also FINALLY got my own copies of Encyclopedia of Country Living, and Forager's Harvest from Amazon too. Hope SM got the commission, made sure to click on the link before we ordered.

 

Again, someone probably shouldn't have refunded my taxes.

But that's ok. I'm stimulating the economy at the moment.

 

Finally found a local place with non-ethanol gasoline, so I started rotating out my stores and replacing it with pure gasoline.

Got three raised beds built. Ordered some herbal remedies. Restocking my chia seed (egg substitute) and some gluten free grains. Waiting on allergy test results for my second son so I can proceed with stocking whatever alternatives I need for him.

 

I remember reading that FEMA wanted to know who preps and what, if they can connect names to avatars , then we are telling them.

 

Just got done on the roof and tower, cleaning and checking connections on the antennae...and adding a couple more for scanners. After all, hurricane season is fast approaching
