They have to do it. Sucks for all their employees (unless they voted democrap, then they got what they deserved). There are plenty of other states that would welcome them with open arms.

This is Hickenlooper's response to the letters he is receiving regarding the gun control bills. From what I read it sounds like he is supporting the 4 bills and will sign them with glee. As for his statement on mental health overhaul, well funny I haven't heard one peep about that. Last time I wrote Hickey, he sent back a note and linked mental health services if I was having anguish over the theater shooting. Yeah! Just what I want is to go to a mental health clinic so they can drug me... no thanks Mr Hickenlooper.

Thank you for writing regarding gun control in Colorado. This is an important subject, and we appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts and concerns.

Over the past year in Colorado and across the nation, we have experienced an unprecedented level of tragedy due to gun violence. The shooting that occurred in Aurora on the night of July 20, 2012, is an event that will remain in our hearts and minds forever. And while our lives will never be the same again, these experiences showed the strength and resilience of individuals to come together as a community. Now, as a community, we must come together to find ways we can prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Your letter is one of thousands we have received offering thoughts on everything from banning assault weapons, to increasing mental health availability, to the rights of citizens to carry concealed weapons. The diversity of opinions on how best to address this issue is proof positive that we should not shy away from this discussion. We are confident that through thoughtful and mindful debate we can find reasonable solutions that respect the rights of law-abiding Coloradans to own firearms while maintaining the health and safety of our communities.

In Colorado, individuals purchasing firearms at firearms dealerships and gun shows undergo background checks, and we believe that universal background checks will help ensure that guns don’t fall into the hands of those who would use them to harm themselves or others. This is a multifaceted issue and part of this dialogue should focus on mental health access. In addition to addressing firearms, we have also asked the Colorado General Assembly to support a comprehensive overhaul of our state’s mental health system so we can better deliver support and services to people sooner rather than later, and provide appropriate interventions.

This is a conversation that will continue throughout the course of this legislative session, so we also encourage you to share your thoughts with your legislators. This is how the letter should have been written if it were sincere, patriotic and honest:

Now, as a community, we must come together to find ways we can prevent similar tragedies in the future by not passing more laws in a vain attempt to stop criminals who do not obey the law.

Although, those who offer thoughts in support of gun bans are certainly not the type of people we need more of in America. Colorado is bat sh*t crazy! Where do these people come from and who votes for them?????

Colorado Senate President John Morse's new bill may determine how far Democrats are willing to go on gun control.
Morse's bill, which would hold makers and sellers of assault-style weapons liable for the crimes committed with the guns, was rolled out Wednesday, weeks after the introduction of four other gun-related bills, all of which passed the Democratic-controlled House.

He also said the bill's definitions of "assault weapons" includes double-barreled shotguns and even some single-shot rifles.

Was MAGPUL leaving CO? Yes, they did.
Originally based in Boulder, Colorado, Magpul announced its intention to leave the state in 2013 when a proposed magazine capacity law would cause many of its products to become illegal in Colorado.[1] After passage of the law, Magpul relocated its production facilities to Wyoming and corporate offices to Texas.[2]

CO also allows cities to pass their own gun laws so that the state may become an impossible patch work of gun laws.
Making gun ownership more difficult for law abiding people, no word on what they plan on doing about criminals.

It's still about Colorado gun laws and chipmunk.
Seemed like a good time since Chipman is trying to become head of the aft and this post shows how he has activity campaigned against the second amendment. Which should disqualify him from running a federal agency, especially that one.
