Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939. Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers. In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people. If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.
It would indeed be interesting, if the cops could buy no guns, or ammo for the guns they have.....very interesting indeed.
That is a great example to set for everyone. Now if only everyone else would do the same... or even better. Just keep on selling regardless of the trend of the day. Gun runners aren't as popular as they once were.
Sadly, it's not going to even put a crimp in their operation to complete the enslavement of us all. There are plenty of tyranny loving quislings in the gun/ammo manufacturing business that enjoy their comfortable lifestyle all on the backs of the rest of us. Those govco contracts are just too sweet to say no! Look how many foreign companies that can't sell the vast majority of their wares to the citizens of their own counties have set up presences on American soil to provide arms to the 'JustUs' class? Even if every non-LEO/gov person never bought another gun these companies would not fail. They'll keep selling to the tyrants to feed their families. There are, of course, plenty of exceptions and good on those that do stand up and throw it back in the tyrants' faces. It just won't make any difference in the end. You may call me a pessimist but well...am I wrong? Byte
We can win if we want to win. The system requires our participation in order for it to exist. Think about that for a while.
Actually, the system has no need of us at all. The collected 'taxes' by the system haven't been enough to pay the interest on the debt for near a decade. They are even now conjuring their very existence out of thin air. This monstrosity they have built will collapse under it's own ponderous weight. It won't be destroyed by us. The horrible part is that while it collapses a great many people will be harmed and/or killed in the process. There will be no 'win' for anybody. Mere survival will be the only reward. I guess that's a win of sorts... Byte Feeling a bit dark tonight.
