    I once listed all the near misses/should have been dead times, I stopped at 16 and still wonder why I'm here.

    Yes, but in case you are using body armour made using Kevlar or some other good raw material on that case weight might decrease a little.

    I'll never forget the day that my LT died beside me in full body armor...I wasn't wearing more than cammie pants and a t-shirt. When your number is up, your number is up and all the bunkers, body armor, helmets, weapons, preps and knowledge in the world ain't going to stop it. If the body armor saves you, great...but it only means that your number wasn't up.
