First all, my personal opinion is, no, we are not I was only 12 when the Brady incident happened, so I can't speak for that time, but I do remember concern being raised about a total gun ban connected with more recent events and thankfully, nothing ever happened. This time however, something seems different, can't put my finger on it, but it is there, and It seems I am not the only one to feel this way. My question to you is: Are we overreacting to this latest round of bs or could it be the real thing this time?
You have to consider history in which case you have to believe the "real thing" could be this time or any time.
No, we are not overreacting. Look who is in office and the types of people who are democrats these days. They don't even know/understand what they legislate about, but the common theme to their laws are taking away more liberties creating new taxes to redistribute They do not have the best interest of ALL of the people at heart and ferociously defend their opportunity to be in what has become a royal office. The solution to this madness is so simple, yet we have a majority in this country who can't see what these people are doing and keep VOTING them BACK in office. All you have to do is vote them out...... Alas, republicans have not fared much better when being a good steward of the taxpayer's dollar. Perhaps the coming cleansing will wash away all of the filth of Washington. Whatever may happen, these people and the people they represent are parasites on the backs of everyone of you who work and ask nothing more than to be left alone.
We aren't over-reacting, but the sheep are. (They are just now figuring out that zero care is costing them, big time. The tax man read it (like the rest of us) after it was signed, and has figured it out.)
Above is a part of a conversation I had with a Britt friend about the whole Gun Ban and Piers Morgan. It struck me hard. The Gun ban in the UK was in 1997 and they are starting to accept it, because they know no better. This made me stop and think , all they have to do is get it in one wack at a time over a period of time. A frog in a slow boiling pot of water till dead.
