Went to a mall once. I didn't see the originals but the place was wall to wall with freakin' knock offs. Online shopping rocks.

The occasional Roman emperor found out what unpaid Roman legionaries were capable of doing. An adequately paid, well shod and fed soldier on a worthwhile mission is generally a satisfied soldier. Leave entitlements granted when they fall due adds to a soldier's contentment.

 

Well now, I think I'm all for stopping military pay. I would,of course, bring them home. Or maybe just to D.C.
