Crotch/abdomen ballistic panels have been issued to our military for quite awhile. Like you, a cup is mighty nice. Got my cup severely damaged during bayonet (pugil stick) practice by a savage butt stroke. I greatly appreciated its presence--LOL.

 

There are body armour which provide full protection including groin and neck also, one can try them.
