I tend to dislike infodumping, so I try to avoid it where possible. If people wanted to read data, they would have bought a manual.:D

    Chris,

Read both stories, they are a great read and much better than some of the books I took to read on vacation a few weeks ago.

I have an observation for you about aircraft and EMP. There should have been dozens of Cessna type aircraft that they could have used. As long as you can get the starter to turn over, which shouldn't have been affected by EMP, you could fly them with no problems during the day clear of clouds ie: Visual Flight Rules. The EMP would only have affected the instruments, but the basic engine instruments should be fine and that's all that you would need to fly a Cessna during the day. The Wing struts or gear struts could be used to hold light bombs or machine guns, etc.

Still, great story, I couldn't put it down. Thanks for posting it.

Hi, thanks for the comments. Re the aircraft, my thought was that many of them would have been used, or hidden, and couldn't be recovered. I could be wrong, of course.

great story, first time i read a story in a long long time. I was actually sneaking at work to read it lol. It kind of reminded me of "the book of Eli" a little bit. Your version had a more military spin on it, it would make a great movie it ever made into it. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to read your next one.

    Chris,
It would be interesting to see this story written from the perspective of someone from another town or a foot soldier in the army. That way we could find out what some of the "lies" in the story are.

    Thanks for your work.

Might be cool. I do have a rough outline of the next 10 years and suchlike for Ingalls, but it may be a long time coming.

And if you liked it, could you drop me an amazon review?
