Picked up a Trent iTorch external battery charger. Should potentially allow me to run my phone for a week without having a regular charger available.

On the down side, my daughter had an accident yesterday. That means we're going to be hunting for another car... which in turn means I need to cut back on buying "extras" for a while. I'm afraid I'm going to have to scale back on my prepping. :(

    2500 ft of 550 cord...

I seem to get on weird kicks lately where I think of something and go a little overboard on it...but one really cannot have too much 550 cord.

    ;)

GaAs, trying to build your own electronics? Al alloys or commercially pure P1020 , or more pricey P0202? Commercially pure Mg or alloys? Just wondering since I am into metals.

  16. I imagine some of that is to say simplicity is merely the transparency of complexity.

Nonetheless, yes and no to your questions. I was thinking about condensing my signature to the simple "beg notice" since it is pretty long, but before I get a round tuit, consider this. A community in the real world would certainly need all of those metals you are into (such as a bit of 6063 for some structural rigidity, as an example), but would be in the dark without those who understand VPE (Vapor Phase Epitaxy) and the wonders it offers us. Yes. Quantum wires, dots and those with the ability to adjust the spectrum for quantum computing. Imagine having a 1000 TTb hard drive built into a molecule of GaAsKr.
It would be able to sort by wavelength and brilliance-intensity verses the typical binary 01 states. The storage would be exhaustive beyond even the human brain's capacity. Certainly the speed itself would transcend our interstitial perception of 100 frames per second...
