All part of the plan from the DNC http://assets.dstatic.org/dnc-platform/2012-National-Platform.pdf Firearms. We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans’ Second Amendment right to own and use firearms. We believe that the right to own firearms is subject to reasonable regulation. We understand the terrible consequences of gun violence; it serves as a reminder that life is fragile, and our time here is limited and precious. We believe in an honest, open national conversation about firearms. We can focus on effective enforcement of existing laws, especially strengthening our background check system, and we can work together to enact commonsense improvements – like reinstating the assault weapons ban and closing the gun show loophole – so that guns do not fall into the hands of those irresponsible, lawbreaking few A bit past half way down. Emphasis mine. What is so hard to understand about "shall not be infringed" ?
Gee, let's see, who does she think will define reasonable?? Her, hahahahahaha, ohoho, ah, no, nyet, nada. Reasonable is whatever firearm I decide that I want to own is reasonable. I think it is entirely reasonable that her constituents throw her liberal butt out of office. She has already gotten rich from the position along with most of her co-office-holders. AHrgggg, I said the holder word which has been stricken from my vocabulary........ yikes! GB
She said on CBS's 60 Minutes on February 5, 1995, "If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it." That is her idea of "reasonable"
Hell, most of us citizens aren't allowed/able to afford a machine gun or an assault weapon. We just got Semi Automatic clones of them. My favorite of all time news reporter stated that the 'assaliant was wielding an AK47 and an automatic pistol' I sent him an email saying that it was not an AK47 but a semi automatic rifle that looks like an AK and as for the pistol, there are very few automatic pistols, semi auto yes, auto no. I also stated that he was a complete idiot and should go get a job where they ask 'You want fries with that?' Alas, it was probably in vain but i felt better.
On 18 April 1775 this was an act of war against Americans, so what we have is a Senator advocating war against American citizens. Making war against the citizens of America is treason, so what she is/was advocating is treason.
"I don't care about crime, I just want to get the guns." - U.S. Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D-OH), 1994
This kind of thing is the EXACT mentality of the libtard. I can't believe it's coming from someone in the gun industry. My only guess is that this guy is pro-LEO (in the sense that civilians are untrustworthy of arms despite the glaring evidence to the contrary). http://www.itstactical.com/centcom/its-information/the-recoil-magazine-2nd-amendment-controversy/ glaring evidence to the contrary = # of legal gun owners in the U.S. and the relatively small number of offensive gun crimes.
The magazine is catering to their advertisers regardless of whether it will harm their circulation. They are selling themselves to the highest bidder and not staying true to the people that made them a success in the first place. "I don't care what your message is, as long as you give me money." No integrity. And as far as someone from the industry making a statement of that kind is proof that they want publicity whether it be negative or positive. The idea that if I had a FFL and still couldn't buy one of those weapons just makes no sense to me. Well I guess that when I get a FFL I will not be buying anything from them at all. I'm sure Browning, Barrett or others would like to have my business.
H&K has never cared about the civilian market, they are only interested in government contracts. Most of their customers are authoritarian governments, which fits them quite well as they were founded by refugees from the defeat of the Nazis, who first formed their business in Spain as CETME, then when the legal situation changed in Germany moved back. The magazine editor/writer is the one I find most troubling, the idea that we non military, non LEO's are slimey and should not have effective weapons shows a complete lack of understanding or disregard of the 2nd Amendment.
Say goodbye to Glocks and shotguns . . . Here's our stamp act Say Goodbye To Glocks, Sig Sauers & Shotguns Under Feinstein “Assault Weapons Ban” :: Minute Men News Sent from my Kindle Fire
I agree that any new gun law, and this form in particular would be our Stamp Act. Enough is enough. Their intent is blatantly clear. Any further concession is surrender.
The Rev. Jonas Clark on the 19th of April 1775 at the Lexington green. Weapons confiscation is a tricky thing when free men are faced with tyranny.
