lets talk soap, I have enough tucked away in watertight crates, but worder if you have a brand that you find cleans well, doesn;t get all perfummy and scrubs through a rough day.
I am wanting to keep a fair bit of it so reasons you like it and where you get it from would be awesome.

    Thank you my fellow simians.

btw, I have a little over 1000 bars of ivory soap, but find it doesnt last long

firewood. It's going to be fire wood production for the next 3 months. then more fire wood after that
If there isn't something to be harvested, fixed, maintained or needing to be built: I'll be making firewood.

Sorry not been on much lately, werking my tail off!!! Recently got a small chest freezer & put in basement. Been stocking it up with frozen squash from my garden as well an freshly from my garden Butterbeans & Peas. Thinking I shoulda gotten a BIGGER Chest Freezer, BUT, Then I would have needed help getting it down the stairs into my basement. An that would mean sumone else would know about the shelves of home canned food!! So Opsec says Small Chest Freezer, not BIG BIG one. Built a lil platform w/ wheels to sit the freezer on so can move it if needed & fer the rare rare times water gets in basement its 8" off the ground. Think I need a bigger gen now incase power goes out. LoL

I like the wheel idea, might go that route here, too. Different reasoning, tho', there is exactly zero chance of water in the basement getting that deep unless the Empire State building is already under water (but I am on 2X4s, just because it gets the metal feet off the concrete; same with the washer, dryer, and "tool" boxes.) My basement exits on grade, so water will run out readily and down the drive. So far as additional power goes, if you have enough for one, you should be OK if you stagger the runs. Timers will get you "off" or "permissive" run.

Glad you found your way home.

Been crazy busy lately. Pushing deadlines on a new money making project. I won't go into details, this isn't the place, but it's easy to find out about it if you're really interested.

ITMT, I just got a couple of the Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter Pro hammock tents for the BOBs. Can't afford a real rainfly for them, so I bought a heavy-duty 9'x12' tarp. Will be trying them out in a few weeks while on a visit to BOL. Also got a couple of extra 3l hydration bladders for the remaining two BOBs. Before it's all said & done, I'll have three BOBs - one for me, one for my wife, and one "extra" for whoever may be around if shtf.

Also, still hitting the range almost every week. My wife has reached the point where she is no longer afraid of the pistols, though she still maintains a healthy respect. I love the fact that she's now more concerned with how well she's shooting than how much the pistol kicks. A few more weeks and we'll be going for CHL class.

GB, just find out What Kind of Veggies those seeds are for. Like Cucumbers, I'm partial to Boston Pickling, but theres lotsa different kinds of Cucumbers, same with other veggies. You wouldn't believe how many different kinds of heirloom beets & maters there are!!!

I've been dehydrating this week for convenience this winter. This week I'm doing a LOT of celery for adding to soups and stews. The Chanterelle mushrooms are flushing now and I'm dehydrating all that the boys are picking. Also doing some cabbage, for soups. All 3 of those things dehydrate up into almost nothing and take up only a tiny bit of space. I've still got Peppermint coming out my ears that needs picked. Thinking about taking all of last years deer out and making into jerky to make room for this years deer. Next week I hope to have time to do up about 50# of potato dices, they take a lot more work. Can't believe summer is about over already. Our main prep this month is we are having an Amish crew come in and put up the shell of a small cabin so my Sister can come live with us! She is living near Atlanta GA right now... not a good place to be at all! Very slowly drawing all my family in together... feels good!

Here's one I'm a little confused over. I was able to get an old Panasonic Toughbook on a trade for some old scrap I no longer needed. The thing works but is about four years old. Not entirely sure what I'll do with it, but hey - it's a Toughbook! Think I'll start storing prepping docs, copies of important paperwork, etc. on it and keep it with the BOBs. Not part of the BOBs (too heavy), but if I have call to bugout in BOV, I can easily add it to the items to be driven out. Actually, I think I'll start a thread & see what all the monkeys think I should do with it.
