I'm gonna try and make it down to Dayton one of the days, hopefully Tuesday by 7am to witness firsthand the fly-in. Only 5 of the 80 raiders are still alive and all 5 plan to be in attendance. Not only did they fly a plane off a carrier that was designed for three times the runway distance they knew that the odds of making the landing sites were against them. Part of the greatest generation. For some(me) that would have been a foxtrot utah moment I think.
