That is a lot of beard, wonder what it looks like when it isn't braided. Looks like built in paracord lol.
I've had one of those on order for over 6 months. Guy I go through can't find any--even Bass Pro says Ruger can't keep up with demand. I put a post about a while back with a link to on for < $700.
How much? There was a write-up on them in American Rifleman a while back and they listed an MSRP of $829? maybe (could've been street). Given supply/demand, I think dealers could easily get $900+ out of them.
My wife just bought me one for my birthday last week. Right out of the box I was able to land my shots where needed at 25 yards no problem (after a couple mags to break her in) Taking it apart to clean it was really easy also. I never had any experience with a 1911 before and found it pleasant to handle. I think it is more comfortable that my glock model 22 because the way the grip fits in the palm. Also being all stainless steel it does have some weight to it that tones down the recoil a decent amount. plus its all made in the USA.
I finally got word of re-supply from the distributor last week. I should be getting this soon as the FFL tells me it arrived. It was $689 + $25 shipping (+$25 FFL transfer fee). Ruger SR1911, 45 ACP, Novak Sights, SS, Wood Grips - Impact Guns
