It's a beautiful night out tonight. One of those nights when the sky has that velvety appearance (wonder why that isn't true every night,) when it looks so soft I want to run my hands over it just to see the nap change tone as it catches the light. It's cold enough to see my breath. I am reminded of watching my father blow smoke rings from his cigarette and then, as a child, trying to do the same by my breath vapor on cold nights. The memory made me try it again tonight even though I knew a smoke ring would be impossible. It's a night for remembering and for dreaming
