More millet, barley, steel cut oats, and vegan bouillon, and a smaller quantity of bulgur to try before I more fully commit.

long story in short post.
stray dog + no so secure chicken coop = no more chickens
now more chickens and much upgraded security.
so i added 15 chickens

 

4 big packs of assorted chemical hand,body and toe warmers.I dearly love the handwarmers,I haven't tried the others yet.

 

Finally have a dozen blueberry saplings in and about a dozen heeled in as back up. Eight more thornless black berry plants in and about 20 rooting for later. All the fruit trees trimmed and some of next winter's wood ready to stack. Will be putting spring plant seeds in next week and planting potatoes, onions, cabbage, etc. Getting tired of high grocery prices. Asparagus will be coming along soon--yummy.

 

Ammo, Knives, Fire starters, sharpening stones...

 

6,000 dollars worth the stuff, federal income taxes are always fun! Covered now for heat, food, fuel, amo,solar for re barging batteries ,lights, iPads cell phones etc. Love goal zero! Just a work in progress! A daily work in progress lol. But im feeling better about storage, heat, fuel, generators and so forth . All that is needed now is continuous supply of fuels,foods and entertainment! Oh and again amo

Added half a dozen books to our home library on Foraging, homesteading, bushcraft, skills, etc. Ordered some "gadgets" to help with the manual work we anticipate if TSHTF.

Still working on seed order. Also planning for a new outdoor shed which will be mine, all mine! I will have lots of room for non-perishables and stuff that freezing won't hurt, like TP e.g.

Today I picked up some Mylar bags,,,,50 LBS of white sugar. 5 gal metal can of kerosene & 2 more kerosene lamps. 1100 rds of .22LR & 100 rds each of 45ACP & 327Mag I also ordered 500 RDS of .308 (german army surplus).

Did you get the 200 rd battle packs? If you did, I hate to suggest this but you might want to open up the battle packs and check for corrosion. You can repack in mylar.

Buddy picked up a couple of battle packs recently. Lots of corrosion on the brass. needed to clean brass b4 firing. Not something you want to find out about when it's time to lock and load.

YMMV.

 

Picked up a few more 20 gallon barrels w/removable tops. Just painted my new powder magazine. A metal 24X32X26" tall double doored cabinet. Will reinforce it so I can stack ammo on top.

 

Converted some dried black beans into canned black beans. Figured the dried beans have been around for a few years, I'll can them up that way they get used, as we tend to use more canned black beans in our day to day lives.
It also gave me the experience of canning beans, a low acid food.

 

I did get the battle packs, This is my 3rd order from the same supplier, I was aware of the corrision issues prior to ordering. When I got my 1st order I opened the battle packs & they looked brand new & clean, even though they were loaded in 1985. A few months later I got 500 more rounds and I only busted open 1 BP they looked good as well & the actual rubberized BP looking new too. I will prolly open up these as well. Thank for the heads up though. I was lucky enough to find a guy I order ammo from to tell me about the corrison problems B4 I ordered.

I traded a Taurus Judge in on a opsec in opsec,got it for a good price.Then I went back to trade a Winchester 30-30 in on a opsec in opsec,but he didn't want to give a decent trade for the Winchester so I kept it and bought the opsec straight out with 2 boxes of opsec.I may sell the 30-30 at some point or keep it.It's paid for and not eating anything..

 

This week was sugar,and 20 lbs. high antimony content lead for.....sinkers,yeah that's it, sinkers.
