I was visiting a local gun store that just opened.. Seen this in the case, and decided to give it a good home.. Anybody have any experiences good or bad with Para Ordinance ? This will be my main concealed gun...

I'd love a Warthawg. Got to fondle them at the 2010 NRA show in Charlotte. Thought they was VERY Nice!! Just outta my price range at time. Hmmm....might go looking at Para high capacity .45s soon...

Wonder if they can use the mags of their Bigger Para brother like the P-12 & P-14?

Paras are a fine weapon very dependable and well made when I was a Police officer in Badin NC. we carried them I think they were the full size P14. Loved the gun and wouldn't mind having one the only thing I found that shoots as good for me is the S&W 1911. You will really enjoy it and have a nice peice that will hold value.

The manual says that after 500 rounds, then it's "broke in"... Gonna see if I cant get the first 100 through it today :)

Having a 47 year close association with the 45 acp(yeah I'm that old)I can tell you the Para Ordnance are well made and with normal care are a very reliable go to gun. Wouldn't hesitate to stake my life on one any less than any other top shelf 45.

i've got a Para tac-s that i aquired from a former assembler at Para.it has some tweaks and is a fine weapon! i like it better that the rock island full size 1911 that i have, although i consistently hit low with both.i think i need more range time with them,it was my first trip to the range since i got them.

Consistently low with both? Sounds like you are pushing in anticipation. Try it with heavy gloves to deaden the feel, see what that does. If it's cured, then you'll know.

Very nice firearm. However, may I steer you towards a pistol chambered in .40? Its what SOCOM uses. I don't know of any GO that use .45 standard. IMHO

Who cares if the guvment uses it? .45ACP is as readily available as .22LR and after 100 years it is safe to say it is an effective round. Why is SOCOM the answer?

Carried a Warthog for several yrs as my main carry. Got lazy and went to a Makarov and Sig 232 380. It is still very close.

Just ordered some Crimson Trace laser grips for it.. I found if you do a little shopping around online, you can find all kinds of prices.. Found the grips in a store for $258. with free shipping and free batteries for life, in the event that stores are around for life.. :)

Found em on Ebay for a few dollars less, but prefer to buy from a physical store.. Too many times buying from sellers on Ebay I have bought things and finally had them show up 3 weeks later...
