Anyone else here believe in intuition bordering on precognizance? sometimes I get ideas to do or research something without knowing why. Then in the upcoming days I end up needing that skill/research. Any other "mental freaks" like me? LOL

To me that is just my prepper mindset just working overtime and being aware of my surroundings and what is going on. I am always having thoughts about "what if?" The follow up thought of course, is, "what do I really know about that, and I better get some info or experience about that!"
    .
Esp or precognition? I think not, but who really knows?

I have spent 21 years working as a bouncer (about 13-14 actual years total, if you count a couple eras in my life where two or three real jobs took all my time and bouncing wasn't needed to make ends meet). At first i was in reaction mode. See the problem then react. The problem with that is that violence or physicality has already taken place. After a while I got to the point I could see the physicality coming and would intercept, instead of "clean up". That was my best skill. I could see "trouble brewing" and (to quote the great Barney Fife) "nip it in the bud". I think it is just that my eyes are open to warning signs I have seen over and over. The prepper mindset. See it coming and prepare or avert.

    Our Tax dollars at work

After a 20 yrs "search," Whitey Bulger captured while living in CA where he has apparently been a resident for many years. Upon arrest, over $800,000 was seized from his apartment.

Flown back to Boston for trial, he has been assigned a public defense attorney because he is does not have the resources to pay on his own.

One of my now-retired Supervisors used to call me "Radar", after the MASH character. Often, she'd ask me to research some aspect of our IT or to create some documentation for one of our computer applications - too often, I already had seen the need and could hand it to her. Freaked her out a couple times. Many times, some document I created just for my own use ended up becoming part of our 'official' docs. It seemed to fill a need, and most others just never liked doing that kind of grunt work.
I always seem to be good at finding some odd little 'niche' here at work that nobody else wants or even sees - in a time of layoffs, I make sure I am a very handy guy to keep around!!

    [aiw] Ya' think?!?!

CC and I heard this on this morning's news. She has to be pretty cold-hearted to wait until he woke up to dismember and then turn on the disposal.

Did you know that range pickup shotgun hulls are sometimes wet? Did you know that sometimes when you reload them, they don't go BANG? Yes, I know this ---

Our local public range (out in the National Forest) utterly forbids the use of shotguns.

But once a month they host the Hunter Safety Course - which uses the 12 gauge shotgun to demonstrate safe handling and shooting. The ground is always littered with 12 ga. hulls.........
