I wouldn't worry about this at all. In a town that small, the city council are probably not the most enlightened crew. I doubt they have even read the rules (i.e., the Constitution). Ideas like these won't get a foothold in the "market place of ideas." Persecution for the expression of opinions seems to me perfectly logical. I believe the intelligent and educated voters in Gould, AR, have voted into office the people they want to represent them. In fact, I think most of the members on the City Council have relocated to Gould, AR, from the City of Detroit. Misery loves company. Where is Kwame Kilpatrick? This city needs a new governor who can rise to the level of stupidity of the City Council.

All it took for "Me" was to listen to that IDIOT Council Member, trying explain the councils reason for enacting this idiot law... She is on a POWER TRIP, and needs to be thrown out of office, along with ALL her Council Buddies.
Well, I took a few minutes and abtained the phone number for the Mayor of Gould, Arkansas, as well as the names of all the council people. Then I made an effort to call the Mayor. I only got his voicemail, but then he may be screening calls and may be getting alot of unwelcome calls as well. I told him I supported his position and that I felt the city council had greatly exceeded their authority not only under the US Constitution, but the Arkansas Constitution as well. I left my name, phone number and email, and asked him to call me to further discuss this issue. . Since There is a Tea Party rally tonight in a few hours here locally that I plan on attending, I told him that, and he could call me back tomorrow as my time was of a premium. Maybe he will call, maybe he won't. It don't hurt a bit to get involved and offer assistance. ..... even if it's only over the phone or via computer. . I wonder if there is a protocol in place there to impeach the City Council, for violating the Civil Rights of ALL city residents? If there are any arrests due to this, the council had better have DEEP pockets - that town is on the road to going broke.
Those city council members can move to Washington State, (or California for that matter) where we have plenty of liberal positions where that idiotic mindset will be more than welcome. Unfortunately. It seems like this is not a mentality solely based in the South.
If I were that Mayor, I would call the national guard in to have those commies dragged out and arrested. They are testing the waters in different parts of the country to see how people respond. The response should be Alex Jones up there with a bull horn in their faces.
