I find it hard that a zero day bug just pops up out of the effin blue like that.. one day there's nothing and then the next day, BLAMO!! people are dying and getting sick. I've got my tin hat on for this one and going with Bio-weapon.

My first thought. I posted a similar something in the chatbox after a day or two of trying to decide if I needed to screw my tin-foil hat a bit tighter.
They will ultimately find a way to blame it totally on the small privately owned farm and set a new precidence in eleminating all food production not provided by Monsanto and their genetically engineered food and plant products.
We'll herd all the population into urban centers where they will reside and a draft will be enacted to provide labor at the corporate farms for months at a time, upon completion of a labor session, you will be issued food coupons and allowed to return by public transport, to the urban housing area to enjoy the fruits of you labor.

 

Sea, I just wish you were wrong. Alas, I too need to double up the tinfoil methinks.

 

Cause, Reaction, Solution.
It's a Weaponized excuse to run the small farms out of business.
Libya is an excuse to run off the Chinese from their oil investments in Africa.
Operation Gun Runner is an excuse to take our guns.
Pakistan and Iran is an excuse to keep the Soviets out there.
There is no doubt in my mind, that soon we will be bumping heads with China and Russia.
Only the CDC and Fort Detrick could produce this kind of E-Coli Super bug.

 

If you read 'Demon in the Freezer,' you'll find out that a graduate student could make some of these things--so, bio-engineering companies, big pharma, Monsanto, could do stuff like this no sweat.

I think you're correct that the CDC *could* do this, the organizational structure there, however, would prohibit it. To put another way, it would just take one person to blow that out of the water and the teams there aren't military tight. However, most of the lab personnel are foreigners, which I mention only because it means they probably have a different value system/norms than everyone else.

i keep wondering how many outbreaks of viruses, flus and food poisonings are created so they can put on tighter regs against the home growers

 

Creating mistrust in the food supply would also be a "terror" weapon. So let's hope it is a corporate conspiracy rather than Islam's fanatics.

I don't see radical Islam and corporate interests in any alignment. No some of the Muj became Al-Qaeda, some became Taleban, some became the Northern Alliance and some just had enough.

I don't buy into the normal party lines especially when there are animals who seem to enjoy killing us non-believers. Making people feel unsafe is a weapon of terror..
