So in TX they think someone is old enough to join the military and fight for our country but not old enough to own an AR 15 when home on leave? Priceless...
I suspect that Texas being one of the BIGGEST Hunting States, and has a MASSIVE NRA contingent, that this is one of those Bills that will DIE in committee, without even a hearing. The Sponsor of such a Bill, had better be from a Totally Liberal District, or he can kiss any chance of reelection GoodBye ... YMMV.... If such a Bill were ever introduced in Alaska, the sponsor, would be in line for LYNCHING.....
Here's his F B page. Lon Burnam - Info | Facebook Send this commie a piece of your mind. My AR-10 ought to be in any day now.
There is no way to post a message on his facebook page or send him one. There is, however, a donations button where you can send him one cent and he has to report it as a campaign contribution. You should be able to send a message there.
Sea, you will need to "like" his FB page, then you can write on his wall. I made a post on his wall, we'll see what kind of response I get LOL
Those of us who do not do FB will just sit and watch his lame legislation get 'shot down'........ Real Texans will NOT be amused, and he will suffer politically for his inanity.
He's in Ft.Worth which means he will be re-elected until he does sometime against the interests of the liberals. He's just another one of those card carrying socialists.
The emails submission to this A hole do go thru even though they appear not to. . Here is mine to him and his response. Up his with a firehose! . There was nothing respectful about the email you submitted. The feelings are mutual. Your semi-auto gun bill is an infringment. You sir are on borrowed time as a representative in the fine state of Texas. The NRA has your number as do most Texans. I will be working hard to reduce your chances of reelection. Everything under my power and that of the 1st amendment. Wise up fool. Didn\'t the election results of 2010 teach you anything? Respectfully submitted by a Life member of the NRA, and you would probably disrespectfully call me a Tea Bagger as well. Happy Easter!
uhmm, there's this place in Texas called Fort Hood (among others) I bet they have a couple of guys on there under 21 and have access to Assualt weapons. Didn't see any exclusion for military in there.
Cool Hand, EXCEPT, for the Fact that ANY US Military Installation in the USA is NOT part of, or under the Jurisdiction of, the State where it is located. ALL Military Installations are under the UCMJ, and as such, NO State Statute can be Enforced, by ANY State employee on said Installation, without the approval of the Base Commander, IN ADVANCE, of the State Employees arrival on Base, if He even chooses to let him enter, said Installation. I, for one, would like to see some Liberal State of Texas Legislator Yahoo, try and enforce a State Statute, on ANY Military Personnel, ON, or OFF Base, while on Duty. He would get his Hat, handed to him, and his A** would be in a sling so fast, his eyeballs would be trying to catch up for a week.....
