Three gallons of strawberries, several loads of wood for next winter, and picking up another K+ of 223 brass and boolits-powder from another source. Ordered several sets of moulds for the calibers I do not have. Changing as many static assets into liquid as possible.

A lot this week, actually. I will list what I can remember. But we spent about $900.00 on canned goods and other miscellaneous items (includes some of our weekly shopping, too). It was a lot of fun. To put this in persepctive, we do have a family of almost 8 and the expiration dates are all 2013/2014.

This is all stuff my family likes (although some of it is junkie -my husband insists on certain things). I hope to can my own at some point, but with a baby on the way, it was just easier to get it all at the store since we had the money to do it now.

    3 Cases (36) Dennison's Original Chili Beans
3 Cases (36) Campbells Bean with Bacon Soup
3 Cases (36) Bushs Vegetarian Baked Beans
    1 Case (24) Manwich Sauce
    2 Cases (24) Chopped Clams
1 Case (12) Canned Chicken Breast
9 Quarts Organic Apple Sauce (bought what they had)
1 Case (12) Organic Peanut Butter
1 Case (12) Each: Red Beans, Black Beans, Cannellini Beans
    1/2 Case (6) Kidney Beans
    4 Cans Organic Pinto Beans
1 Case (24) Cans Evaporated Milk
    1 Case (12) Ovaltine
    1 Case (12) Organic Corn
1 Box Dehydrated Onions (to seal in smaller quantities)
    1 Case (12) Pineapple Rings
4 Cans (15 oz.) Crushed Pineapple
    1 Case (12) Pear Slices
    1 Case (12) Peach Slices
    6 Bottles Organic Ketchup
1 Case of 12 Cans Olives

Tuna Pouches, Meals Ready to Eat in a Can (from the Natural foods department [not bad, either]), Protein Bars, Powdered Drink Mix, etc., for making our own MRE's. Made 12 MRE's with my 10 year old son.

    2 Boxes 1% Hydrocortisone Creams
    2 Boxes Gauze Pads
    3 Children's Liquid Tylenol
    2 Children's Liquid Motrin
    8 Rain Ponchos
    7 Flashlights with Batteries
    Waterproof Matches
    6 Cans Propane
    2 Gallons Bleach

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the canned goods we got, but that is most of it.

Good start. The M15 is what I bought my kids. Make sure to get current filters when you can. There are a lot of expired filters on the market. Spent the extra and get current production.

Also if you can fine the US canteen adapter. Israeli and US canteens have a different thread.

    Keep plugging away at it.

Just received my gas mask today, it looks great! The filter is dated 1992, so I will definitely be getting a new one. Have you ever looked at the civilian version? I thought with it's size and simplicity, it might be good for kids too.

The Civilian version isn't bad, but for the cost difference I would rather have the military version. Although the civilian version now has the hydration option also. When it comes to kids you have to be careful. Kids 8 and under, even 10 and under if they are of small statue, need a positive pressure mask. They don't have the lung capacity to work the filter properly.

It may be an issue for my great grandkids, but not my kids.:D

I don't know on how long the shelf life is on those cookies there Broker. I do know at our altitude, temperature and humidity (30 inches off the floor, 300 degrees and about 5 percent just above the cookie sheet), It's about a day at best considering the cookie monsters around here.

    Developing Patience Is Necessary

I just received the dehydrated milk order that I had placed back in February. Since this past (2010) Autumn, there has been a dramatic increase in the backlog/delay for a whole lot of orders for freeze-dried or dehydrated foods.

Does anyone know some reliable vendors that are not yet stretching deliveries way out?

How long are you waiting for most of your orders?
