    Ive been out of action as I have had a knee op so I have been carving this for the last few days and got it finished up today.

    Backwoods Burl Noggin.

    I finished it off with some plaited jute twine and antler toggle.

    That is awesome. We have some willows around the canal running through town. This summer I'll be looking for some burls. See what I can do with them.

    Also look for Birch burls or any burl really.

    Oh, it's a bowl/dish thingy! I like it!

    Without reading your blog, I thought it was a wooden ball on a rope to bash people in the noggin' with. Serious!
