I got all of the MOPC situated, finally.

(Condor Modular Operator Plate Carrier) official licensed multicam, $89.97, poly coated 500 denier Cordura nylon. All CONDOR gear is called "ModGear" at Cheaperthandirt as their own line. It is very good quality.

List of items on loadout, all official licensed multicam:
    -Condor/ModGear dump pouch
    -Condor/ModGear AR-15 magazine pouches
    -Condor/ModGear double pistol mag pouch
    -Condor/ModGear molle medic side pouch/organizer
-Condor/ModGear molle hydration carrier (on back)
    -Condor/ModGear flashlight carrier
-Blackhawk serpa/STRIKE speed clip for molle attachments
    -Blackhawk quick disconnect kit
    -Blackhawk holster (for Springfield XD9)
-Plates (not specified for personal reasons)
    -Gerber Emerson Design auto-folder knife
    -Mora clipper

I could do a review, but I found one by NutnFancy that pretty much covers most points I would make anyway: YouTube - nutnfancy's Channel

Although I am running only 3 mags in vest and one with weapon, I can double up on 2 of the mag carriers (since 2 are doubles) for a total of 5 mags on vest +1 in weapon.

This MOPC is very comfortable, it is not too bad really. I would have preferred it to be 100% USA made, but...that's getting hard these days. It is designed (seemingly) for smaller guys, not the 6'2" type. It's pretty stable.

What does the acronym TEOTWAWKI stand for please?
oldman/Marty> "If you dehydrate the ground beef until the completely dry stage it will keep indefinitely. We have dried some and it has been over 2 years and still rehydrates well when covered with boiling water. We use it in Tom & Mac soups and spaghetti. If you want I will send the full instructions.", would you please take a moment to share the link to dehydrating ground beef?
tacmotusn> thank you for this helpful information, "Just a note; Keep in mind the standard rule of thumb is a 5 to 1 ratio of Rice to Beans to sustain health. Most everything else is "nice to haves" that makes the mundane palatable over the long haul. I guess my point is, if you want to get the most bang out of dollar in the shortest period of time, then it would be beneficial to increase your rice purchases to match the various beans on that magic 5 to 1 ratio. At least until you have enough food put aside to cover the first year post SHTF for you and yours. Others will say, just buy extra of what you normally eat."

Today we got a case of Chicken Noodle Soup at the LDS Cannery. I'm not sure how to get miscellaneous things at the wet pack cannery except on its monthly schedule. It'd be nice to get raspberry jelly (for example) sooner than 6 months from now.

Haven't added much lately, blew up my truck and had to replace the motor so cash is low. I'm just getting started, but have over 1000 rounds 9mm some reloaded, 500 rounds .45ACP, we have a million .22LR rounds and probably 8-10 mags for AR-15. Picking up a case of 2000 rounds of 7.62x39 next week. Food is just now starting to accumulate, have about 4 cases worth of MRE's, TP, about 40gal water changed out every so often, extra tarps, 2 kayaks, meds, and soon I will be picking up the "zombie assault vehicle" (a '92 Chevy Tiara van, nothing special just mobile storage for now.) All in all I think I have a pretty good start. Wife thinks I'm nuts so I have to be careful ;)
