There are 2 kinds of people in this world: Those who drink beer and those who do not.
You need to figure out which one you are and embrace it.
    Like Clyde has.

Rogue Ales: Cap N Sigs N'western Ale

I can feel the love. snipped -melbo [beer]

Monday's frothy beverage is from Rogue Ales, read more from their site here about this Ale. I have just about polished off the 24 oz bottle and it certainly hits you nose and tongue with a floral flavor of festive hoppy frivolity and settles down to the smooth malty essence of this India Red Ale as it is classified on their website.

If you like a good hoppy flavor that really is a mix between a sweet irish red and an india pale ale, you will enjoy this beer.

Well one of my favorites...wish I could spend a few hours in the Spaten tent this year. It's been 19 years since I was there too. Was there in '90 &'91.

It's really hard to pick a favorite. I like any of the real German Hefe's. Love Guinness. Like Beamish stout even more. Beamish and Crawford - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For Irish Red's I really miss Kilkenny (beer) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which I haven't been able to find stateside anywhere. I love Smithwick's too but it's CO2 instead of nitrogen like Kilkenny.

And you'll be hard pressed to find a beer that I won't drink...

    Byte

EDIT - Oh yeah sorry about that. Should have taken the time to trim that one for content. Clyde's Spaten girl avatar reminded me of Spaten! i got a little excited...

Paulaner for me tonight, recalling September of 1999 in Munich in the Paulaner tent. Almost didn't make it out when my buddy won a drink off and reminded the crowd that "we kicked your ass in the Big 2, and I just did it again!!!"

    Ah, memories!

    Troubadour Blonde

Troubadour Blonde isn't just another dumb blonde to hold in your hand. From the moment it is poured, a sweet yeast aroma rises to your nose announcing that "Bread in a Glass" has arrived. The head on this brew crowns an opaque, golden colored ale. The first sip is refreshing and dances over your tongue like a ballerina in flight, subtly announcing a slight effervesence and light apricot essence with just a touch of spice. Unlike other blondes who have graced my lips, I enjoyed the slightly mild bitterness of this libation which finishes with a sweet tasting plie on the on the tongue. With a busty ale measurement of 6.5 % alcohol, this ale can definitely be classified as a multiple bottle experience. In fact, if I had a 6 pack of this Blonde, I would take her out on a date all by myself!

So, what's up with Crafty and his sudden swerve towards beer that comes in glass bottles?

I think the Schlitz brewing company had a mix-up and must have messed up the production of Old Milwaukee Light. As a fall back, he resorted to "top shelf" because he knew it would only be a few weeks of added expense. Also, the higher alcohol content of the german beers will do much more for the Yooper beer drinking "training schedule".

Of course, he could have simply gotten a raise or sold my ATV and most of my Yooper stuff without my knowledge, pocketed the cash, and then bought a couple years supply of quality beer just to spite me. When I finally get up there, I will find the cabin has been moved to a different location on the property, too!

Or, he could just be drunk all the time and doesn't know the difference

Did a lot of OM when I was up there, along with Strohs and Hamms. I don't think I'll sink that low ever again.

I'm thinking he forgot to log out of a computer at the library and we have an impostor.

He would have to be 3 sheets to the Wind to not log out at the library. Unless Crafty, Jr., got a hold of the passwords after kindergarten class.

I thought he swung by the library to steal toilet paper for his preps stash? No?

No, he just does that when he needs new tp for the one holer at camp. I think he put a cooler in the crapper this year ($10 upgrade) because he didn't want to risk spilling beer when he tripped down the steps, spill his beer, and potentially land in the fire pit. It really is a beer drinking safety upgrade.

Much safer and allows one to not have to worry about a losing a buzz just incase one is "slow to go" after a couple days of a dehydrating drinking deluge.

I accidentally found a place with over 40 taps of beer which they change about 25% of te taps a month. Mostly craft beers from around the US. Just what I needed to find!
