Misinformation or Time to Prepare? I have heard many things about the beginning of 2010. But none have been so directly referring to dates that events are to take place. I don't like to disseminate FEAR, but those who are of a mind to prepare would rather have information in advance than not. So here it is...the latest from my shared sources and those who would consider themselves TRUTHERS and PREPPERS. At some point things are expected to break down, this just tells a single possible planned date on which it MIGHT happen. I would like to know what you guys and gals think. Well i guess we will see, it's about 11 days away. IMO a bank holiday for a week and the start of WW3. It will catch some off guard if they don't have some cash on hand and some food around. Probably be back to business as usual on the 16th. There'd be a stock market tank, so maybe have some cash on hand to buy on the floor. The bank "holiday" may spark rioting hence the need for martial law which may cause more rioting.
Bring on the chaos. I am probably prepared as well as I will ever be. I know one thing for sure.... I am getting mighty tired of all the BS.
I'm getting tired of it too Tacmotusn. The guy that started this thread seems to have come to this forum just to spread rumors. He has used the same name and posted the same thing on at least one other forum that I look at. Joined them in Dec. Less than 5 posts. The thing about these stories, It's always a friend of a friend of a friend...&etc. Never I WAS THERE, I SAW OR HEARD.....WHATEVER. Remember the guy that posted "the banking system is going to collapse on August 26th" What happened on August 26th? Then there was another guy spouting off about the collapse of the banking system, it didn't happen either. Just keep on prepping like you would for any other emergency. The sky isn't falling yet.
The guy you are talking about is me. And I am posting on multiple forums because people should know. Yes, it is my absolute aim to spread information. I made it very clear that I would like to wait and see, and that those who care to prepare might take some steps given this information. It may be rumor...I said take it with a grain of salt, see what happens, pay attention! That is all I have to say...and I will keep posting things that seem possible useful for those who care to read them. We are living in very serious times. Watchman220
Watchman, sorry bud, but you have to understand we've all heard the "wolf cry" time and time again. We aren't singling you out, it's just the message, that's all. Thanks for the warning. IMO the only preps for the "rumor" would be, have some extra cash on hand and make sure the pantry is full, which most on this site already have. The issue, to me, doesn't look to be that long term in nature. anyway we'll see.
Watchman, let's just cut through all the BS. Unless you personally KNOW something, you're just spreading rumors. And we have all heard more than enough rumors, it's time for facts. And if this hurts your feelings, too bad.
People should indeed know. Serious times, indeed. And facts are what will prevail on actions after the preps are done. Acting on unsubstantiated rumors that forecast this or that happening at any particular hour or day is what creates panic, and the real concerns get lost in the chaff. At the very best, this sort of thing is diverting from what is real. Nostradamus, that site is not. This type of hokum smacks of reading tea leaves (stirred in with pig's intestines) not dispensing information. We can easily deal with things that require a grain of salt, but this stuff takes a pound, and you can imagine what happens when someone eats a pound. They get sick. A direct answer to the original question, then. Yes, it is time to prepare, well past the time for deliberate preparations. That said, it is never too late to start, and way too early to panic.
