It appears that it could be a good one, I think I may go watch it when it releases Nov 25th http://www.moviefone.com/movie/the-road/32581/main
Looks like it might be good so Yes I'll watch it when it hits DVD that is , can't stand paying theater prices to have a movie ruined with idiots talking or kids crying that shouldn't be there in the first place and I have to rent anyway just to understand parts of the movie that I couldn't hear at the theater .
Yes, should be good. Hopefully it delivers something close to the book which might be difficult. I didnt read it but my wife did and she loved it, although it was a pretty dark tale.
DITTO! I cannot remember the last time I went to the theater! But I do remember the crowds, the noise, the sticky floors......
LOL ghrit at this point you might as well go ahead and pop for a Blue Ray Player it is backwards compatable and will play DVD's . Best Buy's Insignia brand Blue Ray Player is suppose to be on sale for $99 this year , while I can't speak for the player I do have an insignia Digital Converter Box and it works fine .
New and improved DVD LOL holds more Data and is suppose to be more durrable than the DVDs . I don't have 1 myself yet but son does Kids gotta have all the new toys dont ya know , since he works and buys them I don't care .
we've sprung for one prices are indeed coming down, bluray is an hd dvd format remember betamaxvs. vhs? blue ray is a fairly popular format each disk holds gigs and gigs of data,( extra views of scenes in movies) if you shoot hd video and want to deliver sameto a client as hd you need a blu-ray burner,. bluray versions of movies are more expensive so we still buy mostly regular dvd's movies( yeah itsa waste in that rerspect, but we needed a new player, sometimes you get tired of being 3 standards behind the breaking edgeof the tech wave. Hey I still mourn for my stolen case of Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Doobie brothers, and Fleetwood mac 8track tapes in h.s.( you had to wedge the matchbook in just right to get rid of the squeal...)
