Magpul makes the best magazines on the planet. I love mines, and I REALLY wish they weren't out of stock. Thanks for the link anyway!
CProducts also is one of the best reguarding AR mags, I just recieved five 20 rd 308 stainless steel mags at $15.95 each and they even Fed Exe'd them to me for a total cost of $79.95. As a side note reguarding these 308 mags that fit the DPMS/POF/KAC SR25 family of AR 10 type rifles, they are constructed in a way to allow for the clearance of the military M118LR match rounds that are seated .10thousands longer than the SAAMI OAL of 2.80 inches. KAC has a 20 rd mag for the military M110 SASS rifle that was redesigned to hold the M118LR rd., but they want over $100.00 bux a piece. I DON'T THINK SO!!!! Now all I am waiting for is Adams Arms to release a Gas Piston kit for the AR 10 family of rifles.
How about this deal: http://dsgarms.com/index.cfm/produc...g-gen-1-non-rev-m-foliage-green---10-pack.cfm
As long as the spring is good they seem to be ok IF you want good synthetic mags the Bulgarian Waffles, or the Polish Mil specs.
Has anyone else had problems with these PMags? I keep hearing folks rave about them. I bought some last year and they would not function in my AR's. If I loaded them with 30 rounds the mag would not lock in. I could load with 28 rds and it would work. I tried this with 5 rifles and with 3 different mags, same thing. All of my AR's are Bushmaster and they say the Isreali Orlite mags won't work in them but those are the only mags I ever heard that wouldn't.
The Pmags should work fine in the Bushmaster, they do in mine. I know that they *shouldn't* work in the S&W AR's.
Maybe you got an early batch? I've tried them in a Bushmaster, several Rock Rivers, Essential Arms, DPMS, and even a cheap ass Armscor. I never had a problem with loading them to capacity or having them feed properly. I bought my P mags two or three at a time, over the last year. Some have the new revision, others don't. I'd send Magpul an e-mail and see if they will replace them.
I've posted about this before and have never had anyone who had that problem. Just my luck I guess. And I do believe they were the older version. I found a good home for them. Will just stick to the G.I. mags. I have a few of the Canadian Thermold ones. Theyr'e OK. I have heard stories of them melting but I can't see that unless it was in full auto. I have used them during several rapid fire drills and have never seen that.
PMAGS for $12 each I found PMAGS for $12 each at Tacticalsight.com when buying their 10 pack for $120 Magpul PMAG AR-15 30 round AR-15 Magazine 10 Pack - AR-15 Magazines I decided to check around for the best price after noticing that the other place that was supposed to have them for 12 did not, and it led me to the Tacticalsight.com deal.
