- A comparison and history of the military application of automatic weapons
including some predictions for the future.
Gun Digests, 16th Edition (1962)Page 114 - Submachine Guns
Today - a very comprehensive article on the world’s submachine guns. Includes
data and illustrations of some rare models.
Gun Digests, 21st Edition (1967)Page 46 - The Thompson
Submachine gun - A very complete article on the history and construction of
the Thompson. Cover s all military models and includes a number of
illustrations of accessories and exploded drawings. A must-have for the
Thompson owner.
Gun Digests, 40th Edition (1986)Page 6 - The M16A2 _ the
history and characteristics of the M16A2 including test results of firings
against other weapons and tests of the new ammunition. Page 26 - The
Legendary French 75 - Good drawings and illustrations with text explaining the
history and use of the French 75 in WWI.
Gun Digests, 46th Edition (1992)Page 26 - Thompsons that
never saw battle - The experimental Thompsons in weird calibers.
Guns Illustrated 1982Page 48 - U.S. Army Antitank guns -
This article is for the BIG bore shooters. It covers US weapons used to combat
tanks from 37mm up to self-propelled guns and includes some recoilless weapons
and the early bazooka. Page 61 - UZI - Mostly just covers the
carbine.
Guns Illustrated 1983Page 11 - Ameli 5.56 - A test report
on shooting the, then new, Ameli light machine gun. Page 80 - MP5 -
Covers the history and construction of the MP5 and some info on the MP5K and
SD variations.
Guns Illustrated 1984Page 30 - The Schmeisser MP-40 -
Covers the history and makeup of the weapon including shooting it and a very
weird takedown that first involves unscrewing the barrel nut and removing the
barrel.
Guns of the Elite, Special Forces Firearms, 1940 to present.Markham, - A good general reference covering special operations and
counter terrorist small arms including some shotguns, grenade launchers, and
ammunition.
Handbook on Weaponry,Rheinmetall - best weapons engineering
book extant, translated from the German.
International Armament, 2 volume set, Johnson, George B. and
Lockhoven, Hans Bert - A very desirable set of books covering historical
and modern military weapons up to the mid 1960’s. This set of books gives
details on weapons unavailable in any other publications and covers revolvers,
pistols, manually operated rifles, submachine guns, automatic carbines,
self-loading rifles, light machine guns, and machine guns. 471 and 483 pages,
hardcover.

Jane's Guns recognition guide - Good simple refernce and its in
print!
Jane's Security and CO-IN Equipment - That's COunter -INsurgency, I
think this book is now titled something like Police and Security Equipment or
something like that.
Johnson & Haven’s Automatic Arms , Their history, development,
and use. One of the most sought-after of the World War II era weapons books.
This was the last and most complete book Johnson ever did on the world’s
automatic weapons. Beginning with mechanical repeaters of the flintlock era,
this book continues through World War I and into WWII. Pistols, submachine
guns, rifles, and machine guns are all included including design notes,
applications, and combat use of the weapons. First Edition, 344 pages,

Free World. This is an operating manual for most of the NATO weapons of
the mid-1970s including the Japanese Type 62 machine gun and the MG1/3. This
was the first US manual to show where the bottle opener on the Galil is. 316
